Third World America in Detroit
Economic decline severely effects our cities as you would expect. The troubling thing is once underway how quickly and complete the decline can occur .
The erosion of Detroit’s industrial base, lead by the automotive industry, has lead to an abundance of abandoned factory buildings and skyscrapers across the city. The blighted areas have had a severe impact on the surrounding communities. Now with the probable bankruptcy of General Motors and Chrysler Detroit is likely doomed as a livable city.
Not that it’s such a great place to live as it is. Take a look at the video. Is the Detroit of today a front runner of America’s rush to a third world status nation? Will skyscrapers become abandoned danger zones across the nation?
We are likely to find out within a very few years. Big city dwellers are in for some terrible times as infrastructure crumbles. The Long Crisis is well advanced in Detroit and may be coming to a city near you.
